LAST ALLIANCE’s NEW PV, Completed: “There was no need for us to appear in it.”

Two years and four months after their last album, LAST ALLIANCE is releasing Keep on smashing blue, — a new album, this October 27. This includes their new song WING, the PV of which, has just been completed.
Niwa Takayuki, known for his documentaries and other similar works, directed the PV. Niwa was filming pro-boxer Tsuchiyama Naozomi’s way of life when he heard LAST ALLIANCE’s song. It left him a deep impression, which led to his eager request to make a collaboration with Tsuchiyama and LAST ALLIANCE.
The video shows Tsuchiyama silently practicing — something which projects LAST ALLIANCE’s stance and form of existence as a band. Niwa said, “When I heard the song, the band’s music seeped through me, and I thought that intense image, that world view is something Tsuchiyama Naozumi’s real life portrays. Combined, LAST ALLIANCE’s and Tsuchiyama’s images transformed into a new picture.
LAST ALLIANCE praises the PV as well. “A most moving PV was made. We haven’t had anything like that until now, so we kept watching it. Seeing the finished product, we felt that there was no need to for us appear in the PV. We definitely want the audience to watch from beginning to end,” the group commented. Tsuchiyama, on the other hand, shared his impressions, “It was really an honor to have participated in such a cool work. My son Akio being part of it has made it memorable. It’s good that he looked cute in it too. Remembering my own words, I’ll work hard from hereon as well.”
Besides WING, also included in the album is HEKIREKI, a song used as opening theme of the anime Hajime no Ippo and previously included in the single new dawn. The new album compiles 15 songs in total, chosen as the best among 56 demo tracks. Taking a rich time to record, the band came up with a compilation that is definitely LAST ALLIANCE.
Included in the first press, limited edition are bonus tracks akai hana (sweet ANZAI Boy)and jouka(angry MATSUMURA Boy). It also comes with a DVD that features a footage of their performance at CLUB QUATTRO Shibuya during the KAWASAKI RELAX TOUR.
Furthermore, the album release tour entitled Keep on smashing blue, TOUR 2011 kicks off on January 1, with performances at CLUB QUATTRO Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka.

40 year old idol group, SAMURAI ROSE!

SAMURAI ROSE is the newest major idol group on the scene. What makes this idol unit so special is not that they all came from various occupations, such as company presidents, nurses, chefs, homemakers. It`s the fact that of the 40 members that make up SAMURAI ROSE ,the youngest is 34 and the oldest is 58 .
That’s right; no more wishing that your mother, wife or grandmother were an idol , now she can be.
SAMURAI ROSE made their debut in February and has already had a second generation audition to reach the current 40 member level and on October 6 they made a major single debut “Rouge to Martini“ . PRINCESS PRINCESS`S song “M” (which they performed in front of 220 fans on October 2 at a major debut party event) will be the coupling track.

Avex idol group SUPER☆GiRLS to finally debut, and they wanna beat AKB48!

New Avex girl idol group SUPER☆GiRLS has finally announced their debut CD release! The 12 girl group will be dropping their first album (they don’t have even a single and they debut with an entire album!), Chouzetsu Shoujo, on December 22nd.
On October 2nd, the girls held a special event at the Tokyo SHIODOME-AX, “SUPER☆GiRLS~ShiodomeAX fukkatsu! Surprise LIVE~.” At the event, member Shimura Rika celebrated her 18th birthday, and the other members had secretly prepared a cake and birthday song for the occasion.
Possibly the most interesting part about the announcement of their major debut was that it was also a complete surprise to the members of the idol group. As they were on stage, a large banner fell from the ceiling that said, “Major Debut Decided.” When the SUPER☆GiRLS saw the announcement banner, they immediately ran into each other’s arms and started crying tears of joy.
When asked how she felt, the current leader, Yasaka Saori, said, “I don’t think I’ve always been the calmest leader, but today I’ve become so emotional. I’m just so happy!“ Fellow member Tanaka Mirei was just as shocked about the debut. She had just assumed they were never going to make a major appearance, and added with tears in her eyes, “We were prepared to surprise Rikataso (Shimura Rika), but we didn’t expect to be surprised too!”
The youngest member, Maeshima Ami, said, “I couldn’t even understand it when the debut banner dropped down. Slowly my eyes just started to fill with tears. I will try my hardest for the SUPER☆GiRLS album!“ Birthday girl Shimura Rika stood resolute and insisted she wasn’t going to cry, but she did add, “I didn’t know about the birthday surprise either, so with these presents I am very happy. I will try my hardest from here on out!”
When asked who their rival idol was, Yasaka and Maeshima quickly answered, “Everyone is our rival goal to reach.” Miyazaki Rina didn’t hold back, and interjected with enthusiasm, “When we first formed, we would say, ‘Let’s beat AKB48!’, so I think that they are everyone in the idol industry’s goal.”
Currently, SUPER☆GiRLS will begin preparations for their first one man live, “~Yume no Inryoku“, and the show will take place at the Harajuku Astro Hall in Tokyo. They will also kick off a free mini live tour across Japan on November 3rd, called, “Itoyokado presents SUPER☆GiRLS Major Debut Kettei!”
“Chouzetsu Shoujo” will be released in three different forms: a CD regular and two different CD + DVD versions. The CD will contain the tracks “NIJIIRO Star ☆,” “Kizuna Days,” and “Be With You,” songs that they have already made popular with their live performances. In total, there will be thirteen tracks on the album, meaning there will still be ten brand new songs that haven’t been heard yet. The DVD will feature their debut music video (yet to be determined), and an audition video that shows interviews with the final members. The limited edition DVD version will come with a ticket to a handshake event, and a random photograph of the group (15 possible ones to collect).
For more sneak peeks at this adorable idol group, you can check out their audition special. (more…)
Ayumi Hamasaki shuts down a hater on Twitter, and she’s won the record of best female artist
Ayumi Hamasaki has some fans commenting about her unprofessionalism over a small altercation on Twitter.
A “fan” tweeted to the singer, “That is why people mock you for graduating only from junior high school.”
Ayu responded bitingly, “That is fine with me, but it is rude to many people who only graduated from junior high school, but are working on their best, and I do not think that is something you have to be looked down.”
Ayu graduated junior high school in Fukuoka, and dropped out from high school in Tokyo.
While many people agreed with her, some say that it wasn’t necessary for Ayu to re-tweet or respond to those fans.
Hamasaki now holds the record for the most #1 singles by a female artist, in both the solo and group categories.
