YG Entertainment Launches New Websites
YG just launched another site online. After recently presenting ygconcert on YouTube, they have provided special websites extra for Seungri’s solo activites and Big Bang’s concert this year titled “BIG SHOW 2011” providing various information on these events.

Seungri’s mini-album will be released on 20th January.
Big Bang’s BIG SHOW 2011 will be held on 25th, 26th and 27th January.

JYJ To Get Replaced By…Big Bang?
Although Avex has held on to a contract with TVXQ and JYJ for around 4-5 years now it seems that’s all about to change cause as they say “out with the old in the with new”
With JYJ’s contract officially over with avex the company has their eyes on Japan’s 2nd most popular K-pop male group, Big Bang
See although BIG BANG is currently part of Universal Music Japan (where rival groups from SME like SNSD are) rumors have it the group is planning to join avex and replace JYJ.
Avex already has a contract with 2NE1 so it wouldn’t come as a surprise if this were to occur in order to keep the YG “family” united.
In either case if this does occur it sadly seems the TVXQ/JYJ Dynasty will officially end as Japan makes way for BIG BANG Era.
THOUGH NOTE: people aren’t just gonna forget about TVXQ overnight, Big Bang has been in Japan for over a year and the group has yet to crack at no.1 single or album, and it took TVXQ 5 years to achieve a no.1 with their last album and it took them 3 years to get a no.1 song SO ITS NOT THAT EASY (more…)

Well at least Daesung, TOP, and G-DRAGON’s interview is out!
G-DRAGON
I have heard from other people who even when I’m compared to people my own age, I’m more deep and thoughtful. Plus I think I’m a little more on the adult/mature side. From early in my life, I would listen to music, watch movies…and I would get more deeply excited than my classmates, when I found artistic things that were touching to me I even cried. Now if I had to pick what influenced my emotional/sensitive side, it would be Wu Tang’s music that I heard in 4th grade. Since then I had the dream of wanting to rap and I began to write songs’ lyrics.”
Since his start of school he started to make music, produce and his fashion sense….Behind all of his unusual talent the, “I want freedom”, idea has had a great influence.
“The thought of wanting to be free has always been very strong since the past. I think it appears in my music and fashion. As a result of this I’m thankful to the people around me that accept this and that favorably say that’s just part of my personality. I want freedom but at the same time I don’t like doing anything ambiguous. I’m the type that is always certain/determined in everything I do. Basically, freedom isn’t all I want. Rather than that, I want to think that all the choices I make for my distant future have been made by me. “
Wishing to be free but disliking being ambiguous. That sounds like the kind of nature of a leader who presides over his unique members. Also, the trainee time took 6 years, that made him more committed and professional.
“I think that without my trainee period I wouldn’t be where I am now. It’s true that time was painful but at the same time it was a good time. I got through it all because it was what I wanted. Just thinking about music and dance, made me put all my passion on it. Even now I still love music but, other than music there are other things I have to think about. Sometimes I think that I want to go back, it would be nice. To just simply chase what I enjoyed doing. (laughs)”
It’s possible for him to say such things because G-DRAGON isn’t going to escape, because he is on the next stage.
“I’m still only 22 years old. At my age, I need to experience different things from now on. To build myself, I want to take it slowly. Then one day, I wonder if I can become a nice/cool man. (laughs)”

What kind of person do you become when you are dating?
Un the past I didn’t think much of it, just of the person I like, but right now realistically, I think it’s impossible to be together with her or to do something for her. So if I think that way, I think it’s because I’m passive to love.

What do you think about the thought of distance from the person you like?
Right now I don’t know how to put in words the distance I’m thinking about in my mind….but I think a bit of a distance feeling is needed [for a relationship]. I have to look after my personal privacy but anywhere you go finding privacy isn’t easy.

Do you find yourself thinking of marriage?
Of course I don’t think of it right now, but I don’t want to think that it will be in the very distant future. However, when I’m married I want to have a good time always, just like the times of when we dated. Even with a baby I would like to make anywhere in the world we go a possible environment to live in.
Drawing for the future, what do you think you need for now?
To not forget the original intentions, take time to create ourselves. What we need the most now is rest, time, novice, and a hungry mind.

TOP has been living in his own world. Since he wanted to express his ‘own world’ to others,he started writing poems since 11.
When I look back, I am still wondering whether I am one of those rebellious children (Laugh). Maybe my rebellion at that time was echoing with the Black music. Through my childhood poems,I want to transmit my inner world to others.’
TOP has been eager to share his thoughts and affection with others until now.
This is the case in music and acting, what you need is to send your message, since if others cannot receive them it is meaningless. I think the definition of arts is transmitting the feelings and experience that you mutually owe so you can echo with each other. To this sense, ‘eye contact’ is a very important tactics to me. When I am in front of a camera or on a stage, I always want to convey my messages to the audience with my eyes.’
TOP’s delicate and sentimental character was inherited from his grandfather.
‘Since I have the genes of my grandpa,I love languages the most. That’s why I was thinking about if I really have to be a rapper. The words that grandpa said to me before he passed away are still very precious and I keep them deep in my heart. He told me to purify myself through meditation. This is a Korean idiom which means looking at your own self, purify and beautify your soul. When I am taking a rest, I will really beautify my soul and brain. At those times, I do not go out but stay at home so as to create some time for myself to think about issues or relax. I will try my best not to think about bad stuff and keep myself away from things that will exert bad influence on me… For making music and acting, ‘purity’ is vital. For the view of expressing myself without being affected, I think it is a must for me to work hard on that. I have forgotten when I started the hobby of collecting figurines and bear brick.(Laugh). I think I am picking up the innocent side of me when I collect them.’
There is another reason that he does not like to go out when he is free.
‘I don’t want to waste my energy. I want to save my energy for my work. To me, energy is not used for my own purpose but for all of you.’
What does he do to reach his dream future?
‘For the sake of my future, the most important thing is ‘do not lose my endless passion’. To be frank, I am not that type of person who set up targets for themselves. Why? I think if I have set a target then I achieve it. then I will be lazy for the feeling of complacent is all over me. On the contrary, if I do not set a target but I still do my work very passionately, this is the biggest target of my whole life.

If you are in love, what type of man will you become?
In the past, I would become a man that devote all my time to her but I have changed a bit. I am not good at confessing love directly so I would convey my love to her subtlety.

What is the ideal distance for you and your sweetheart?
It depends on who I am dating. Em… I will only reply the same amount of love that she gives me! Joking(laugh), both of us are independent and we do leave a certain amount of distance between us, this is my ideal type of relationship.

What do you think about marriage now?
It is not too late if I get married at 40. For the time being,I have just too much work. Under such kind of situation, if I start an affair with a girl, I would just cannot pay my attention to her at all. I cannot tolerate myself to be such kind of person.

Q: What kind of person will you be when you are in love?
If we are talking about “falling in love”, I really will be the kind that falls deeply (smile). Of course, I hope work and love can mix, but because I have the nature to concentrate on one thing at a time, I won’t be able to love properly. So saying, it will be pretty hard for me to be in a relationship now.
Q: What is the ideal distance between you and the person you like?
100 meters! When in love, regardless of how long the relationship lasts, it’s no good having not a little bit of mystery. Of course, knowing and understanding each other is important, but without mystery, we will get tired of each other quickly.
Q: What do you currently think about marriage?
Marriage is the product of love. It’s different from dating as it is important to fully understand each other, especially heart-to-heart. If I meet that kind of person, I will marry her immediately, it’ll be fine if it (meeting her) is five minutes later (smile).

“Last year I had an accident and for two months, I lost my voice. Singing is something I love doing very much so not being able to sing was an agony. If I am unable to sing, how will I survive? Thinking of this made me feel sad, but I can’t always think negatively. My parents and doctors motivated me by saying ‘if you rest well, you will heal too’, after hearing that, I rested.”
Fortunately, he was able to sing again. “The environment and lifestyle from that period of time is very important to me. In those two months, I faced my dream, and fully understood the meaning of life. It must be God bestowing me those important times (smile). Now when I look at my wounds from the accident from that time, I will think ‘no matter how deep the wound is, I must work hard!’ It is a very important wound to me.
As he said this he was smiling. Smiling, which is his trademark. “I always smile probably because my parents taught me to live life to the fullest. It’s like brainwashing myself (smile). Also, when I was in high school my teacher always say ‘let yourself experience pain’, I think this has a big influence on who I am now. If the road ahead is rough, letting myself experience pain and suffering will make me go foward positvely. These two phrases supports me until now.”
BIGBANG who looked forward to debuting in Japan last year, D-LITE thinks…?
“Japan’s music industry is very developed and more towards actual feelings. Because of this, the more we work with it, the more intersting it gets. Although at the beginning, we are insecure and nervous, I hope after we get used to it we can quickly appear in front of everyone (smile). I wish we can appear in more LIVE and stage performances to meet fans or people who don’t know us.”
“I want to become someone who is happy eventhough the peroid of exposure time is short. TO reach this aim, I want to challange not only music but other areas. I want to let people see a different part of me. I want to mature into an entertainer.”
For the sake of the future, the thing to do now is??
What is important is the bond between the five. BIGBANG who is popular at the moment is made up of the bond of five people, and goes through their activities with this in mind. Also, popularity in Japan is important (smile)! To say the whole population is stretching it a bit, but I want to let that many people know us, so popularlity is necessary.

Big Bang Performs At Music Station, Today’s Rankings & More
Today was a fun day at Music Station as not only did a lot of popular and veteran J-rock groups appear on the show but Big Bang also appeared to promote their latest single Beautiful Hangover which although it didn’t fair too well on the charts it was able to crack Muisc Station’s Top 10 singles at no.7 while Kanjani8 stole the stage with LIFE ~Menomae no Mukou e~ which is set to become the no.1 single of the week! on ORICON.

Big Bang’s new single enters Oricon chart at No. 5
Korean idol Big Bang’s latest Japanese single has placed at fifth on the prestigious Oricon daily music chart, according to Japanese publication Oricon Style on Thursday.
Oricon Style reported that according to Oricon’s daily chart, the five-member boy band’s fifth Japanese single “Beautiful Hangover,” released in the country yesterday, entered the music chart at No. 5.
The group has led a successful music career in the country since crossing over to the J-pop scene in June 2009 with the first Japanese single “My Heaven” and follow-up single “Gara Gara Go!!”
Their self-titled first full-length release “Big Bang” made its debut at No. 2 on the chart while coming in third on the weekly chart in August 2009. They were named the Best New Artist at Japan Yusen Awards and Japan Record Awards at the 2009 ceremonies.
In May 2010, the boys scored a triple win at the MTV World Stage Music Video Awards Japan, picking up trophies for Best New Artist Video, Best Pop Video and Best Collaboration Video. They were also the first-ever Korean dance group to take the main stage at the Summer Sonic Festival 2010.
Big Bang, composed of members G-Dragon, T.O.P, Daesung, Taeyang and Seungri, may be making a comeback to the local music scene with a full-length album in October or November.

Taeyang “I’ll Be There” MV draws in 1 million hits in 2 days
Idol group Big Bang member Taeyang’s new music video “I’ll Be There” has drawn in over one million hits in just two days of its release, according to his agency YG Entertainment on Tuesday.
YG announced that “I’ll Be There,” which was revealed on Taeyang’s official YouTube channel on August 19, was viewed by one million people during the first two days and has accumulated over 1.26 million hits as of today.
The singer performed “I’ll Be There,” the title track from his international record, for the first time ever over the weekend on MBC’s music program “Music Central.”
The international release, to go on sale tomorrow and simultaneously be released internationally through iTunes, will also include ten previous tunes as well as two new songs, a bonus DVD with all his music videos and behind-the-scenes footage.
Taeyang, whose real name is Dong Young-bae, was the first member of Big Bang to debut as a solo artist, releasing his first mini-album “HOT” in May 2008 which includes the hit singles “Prayer” and “Look Only At Me.”
Most recently, he had promoted his first full-length album “Solar” featuring the title track “I Need A Girl” and is currently busy preparing for his first solo concert to be held at Seoul’s Kyung Hee University on September 25 and 26.
