After our exciting post a few days ago from young soon to be debuting group GP BASIC, netizens were shocked to meet Janey the youngest of the group and rapper, but now today once again the countdown continues for the girls debut as their leader was revealed, meet Hannah!
Hannah is currently a 2nd year middle school student at SeonSeo Middle School and is said to be a model student always getting 1st or 2nd in class.
Hannah is also known to be gifted in dancing, taking part in various pro ama dance sports competition since she was in elementary school. She also won 3rd prize at the Asian Pacific Dance Sports Competition and 2nd prize at the MBC pro ama dance sports competition.
We will keep you posted when the other’s info is released.
With the new group GP BASIC to not even have debuted yet it seems netizens are already buzzing concern over them.
The main problem being that because of their young age of most of them not being 15 they would require parental guidance to appear on the variety shows including “Music Bank, ‘MBC Show!”, “Music Core, and SBS Inkigayo. And if things turn for the worse and they get banned from performing on the shows how will the ever be able to succeed in the industry if they can’t promote themselves, since if the show bans children from watching how are they gonna get children to perform in it?
So far the Korea Communications Standards Commission has just stated, “The group’s appearance itself will not be a problem, but it is definitely inappropriate. Their choreography and wardrobe will be the main factor on our banning decision.”
Clearly the heat is on for these girls, will they crash and burn before they even debut? Or will they shake the k-pop world and take it a whole new level?
And just like nature the k-pop universe seems to pop out new idol groups faster than babies are born.
A new group has been announced today called GP Basic but unlike your young teenage turning into young adults idol groups it seems these girls are following the path of groups like D-NA and Teen Top as the girls are only about 15 years old.
The group’s agency states “These girls have been training their dancing and singing skills for two years, and have only shown flawless work and a lot of pride in what they do. The young group will show the confidence they have, just as the other fierce groups do.”
The girl’s are set to debut next week so be ready to see what they can bring to the field in the K-pop universe.
