Is anyone coming????
After SM Entertainment revealed Super Junior, SNSD, and Shinee would not be attending this year’s MAMA Awards, J.Tune Entertainment artists Rain & MBLAQ have revealed will also not attending
With Rain currently busy filming his drama Fugitive and MBLAQ currently preparing their album for their comeback it sadly seems neither artist will be able to attend.
The only artists left to perform will be JYP Entertainment’s 2PM and Miss A , YG Entertainment’s 2NE1 and the Japanese artists Perfume & Chemistry.
At this rate things aren’t looking good for the award show and with the pressure many are facing to not attend due to Inkigayo makes matters worse (more…)
Despite his squeaky clean money saving image Rain apparently has had one too many shots of FAME and has been slapped with a lawsuit of $150,000 dollars in gambling debts and has also been accused of wanting to dodge his military service, which he has been postponing as of late to continue working on dramas like ‘Fugitive’. After Rain’s ‘Korean Pride’ tweet days ago, fans and netizens alike are now speculating of a possible new project for the Korean multi-talented actor. The tweet alone was enough to spark a little discussion of future projects after he’s done with ‘The Fugitive – Plan B’.
Meanwhile, J.Tune Entertainment was also quick to reply, subtly hinting of a possible movie in the States. A representative has released a statement saying “I think that American producer was in touch with him personally. On his own showing, the conclusion is so right – American movie, If he talked with that producer about a new scenario. But I know that he hasn’t made any firm plans at this point.” (more…)

Even though dramas like Sungkyunkwan Scandal & Playful Kiss started off with lousy ratings despite their popular male leads, with it being his last acting role before millitary duty fans were clearly excited to see Rain on the small screen again, as the action pack King of K-pop brought it big with his new drama Fugitive, at an excellent debut viewership of 20.7% beating out My Girlfriend Is A Gumiho who only held 16.6% despite it being in its last week!
Saldy ONCE AGAIN Playful Kiss has dipped into disasterous ratings of 4.5%. and with the drama already to episode 10 out 16 clearly its not gonna get better in the ratings unless a miracle happens or something! (more…)
With Rain’s new drama Fugitive to be released this week the actor gave his thoughts on his character as well as the amount of action scenes he had to go through most which involved lots of running. Something that was no surprise in the drama is that a short video was released today for the OST that included a song by none other than MBLAQ!

The fans of this Korean international superstar very well know what we mean—and the “Intensity” of Jung Ji-Hoon was very well felt in his first-ever concert in the Philippines last Sept. 11 at the Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, together with fellow Korean act U-Kiss and our very own Asia’s Romantic Balladeer, Christian Bautista.

Upcoming KBS2 drama, Domangja aka Fugitive: Plan B, has released an official teaser!
Fugitive stars Rain, Lee Na Young, Daniel Henney, and Lee Jung Jin. As you can see in the teaser below, the drama boasts many international stars that are also set to appear on the highly anticipated drama.
The story is about a large sum of money that has been lost during the Korean War and suddenly reappears after 60 years causing a fugitive chase across Asia. Filming took place in several different countries, including Thailand, Japan, and China.
Based on the preview, we get a glimpse of what we can expect from the drama, a bit of what each character’s roles are, a whole lot of action packed chase scenes and some nice eye candy as well!
Fugitive: Plan B is scheduled to air on the 29th of September after the mega popular drama Baker King / Kim Tak Gu.
Se7en recently revealed on Strong Heart , “I almost debuted in a duo group with Rain. YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk one day asked me if I would like to do a duet. He told me that there is a great kid trained by Park Jin Young. When I went to meet them, I saw Rain. We then had a dance battle to see who dances better.”
Before continuing his story, he added, “Park Jin Young sunbaenim in the past revealed through a broadcast show that Rain won the dance battle, which is why it resulted in Rain debuting first. Back then, I laughed on the inside.”
He then continued, “On my way back after the dance battle, Yang Hyun Suk told me, ‘Hey, you were way better.’ I then thought to myself, ‘I guess you always have to take the side of people close to you.’”
Fellow cast member Hong Kyung Min then asked him, “Who dances bettter: Park Jin Young or Yang Hyun Suk?” Se7en then filled the audience with laughter by making a pun, “I liked Yang Hyun Suk’s style of dance more. But Park Jin Young’s dance was a level higher. Yang Hyun Suk was just a ‘boy’, a boy as in Seo Taiji and the Boys.“
On the 6th of September, Korean superstar Rain was supposed to attend a press conference in Manila, Philippines, but it was cancelled at the last minute.
Everyone who attended the conference is still waiting for explanations as to why it was cancelled.
PEP, a Filipino showbiz news site, updated their Twitter saying, ”Rain’s management group cited “miscommunication” between their team and the Filipino promoters for the cancellation of Rain’s presscon today”
Rain, who is having a concert in the country on the 11th, arrived in Manila last Friday, September 3rd. There were no interviews with the media nor interaction with his fans, who waited for him at the airport. The press conference scheduled today should have been the first time Rain is shown to the media and fans, since his arrival on the 3rd.
It was revealed today that Rain was due to begin enlistment at end of this month BUT instead he will be serving it in 2011.
The reason? His company, J.Tune Entertainment requested to delay Rain’s enlistment because of his “busy schedule” because apparently it was more important for Rain to make last minute decisions and fill up his wallet by completing filming for his upcoming drama, Fugitive in time. But wait not only that Rain also has more on his schedule as he is undertaking a masters degree course, concerts in Japan and a possible movie.
Yeah good job Rain, you just keep on leaving everything for the last minute, k! Too bad, Bad Guy’s Kim Nam Gil didn’t have the same luck over his drama!!
Even though Rain is in all sorts of trouble from his former company and netizens it doesn’t come as a surprise that only a day after revealing his shocking news, today he released a new single to clearly keep us distracted with that instead for W Phone with the song titled W Song check it out below
After reavealing that he was just playing us all and wasn’t the manager of JTune Entertainment now netizens have reacted in a vicious and supporting way
The supporting side has been leaving comments such as, “If it’s 5:5, he’s basically no better than a rookie. From Rain’s standpoint, he’s going to be losing billions of dollars,” “There’s never been any other business owner or board of director that has shown this much responsibility,” and “It’s a huge sacrifice he’s making.”
“Rain is also a normal human being. Why would he do nothing as his investments are being lost? It was right for him to sell them,” “It’s Rain’s fault that the prices of the company’s stocks dropped because of a major shareholder liquidating all of his share, but we need to take note that the law has not yet decided his guilt or innocence,” and “I can see why his actions would be intolerable, but it’s too late to take back the crime anyway.”
On the not so happy side netizens left comments, stating, “He’s always acted like he was a perfectionist, so it’s disappointing to see him come out with excuses now and act like he had no idea,” “He should know that as the largest shareholder of a one-man company that his actions largely affect the worth of his stock and profits. Rain’s recent clarification just seems like he’s cut out his apology and instead emphasized what he’s losing,” and “Please show us more responsible actions if you consider yourself a top star.”
Better fix this somehow someday soon Rain before your career goes down the drain with all this bad publicity!
After months of being charged and accused of fraud and embezzlement, singer Rain has finally responded with what looks on the surface to be a thinly disguised attempt to cut all ties from J. Tune Entertainment — the company he had formed after leaving JYPE Entertainment in 2007.
Rain said in a recent interview with local business daily that his involvement with the company had strictly been as an investor and not the company’s head despite his role as a majority shareholder.
Rain’s response to months of charges hurled at him by former investors of his entertainment company is seen by many industry pundits as the singer pulling the “babe in the woods” act in playing dumb.
“Becoming a majority stock holder was not something I wanted. I was simply an investor in the company,” Rain said in the interview.
Investors claim that his latest response is just a “sly excuse” in what was essentially a “hit and run” job where he pocketed large sums of money far greater than the total revenue the financially-strapped company has generated in the three years it has been in business.
According to investors, Rain initially received some 15 billion won when he signed the contract to act as the head of the company in 2007.
“As expected, he’s just making excuses without taking responsibility for how his actions affected us financially,” one of the company’s investors told a sports daily Tuesday.
“Rain failed to mention parts of his involvement with the company that would clearly put him at a disadvantage. He has even failed to gather the neccessary documents for the lawsuit he’s been slapped with that may exonerate him from these charges.”
The entertainment management and contents company was started up on the back of heavy capital from investors keen on taking advantage of the 30-year-old’s rising status as an international star.
But when the company failed to become a profitable venture — which included his now defunct clothing line J. Tune Creative – during the first three years as a publicly-listed company, Rain sold off his majority stake, cutting loose from his involvement which caused the free-fall of the company’s already diminishing stock value.
Since then, investors have filed a law suit against the singer-actor on charges of embezzlement and fraud.
On why he had failed to release an official statement when the charges were made earlier in the year, Rain said he was busy filming his latest television series which is scheduled to air at the end of September on KBS2.
Excuses, excuses tisk tisk better come up with something better once he goes to court!

Seems like the King of K-pop Se7en finally revealed his jealousy and competitive side today towards his rival and other K-pop King Rain on MBC Golden Fishery where he stated.
I enjoyed watching Knee-Drop Guru. My favorite episode was the one where Rain made an appearance.”
He then continued on saying, “I was close to making my American debut at the time of the airing of that particular broadcast featuring Rain. Back then, I thought to myself, ‘Just you wait. I will hit success in America as well.’ … When I returned to Korea, I expected a lot of fans and reporters to await me at the airport. But when I returned, the only person waiting for me was my manager.”
Se7en also talked about how he lost a ton of fans thanks to his relationship with Park Han Byul saying “Fans’ responses were split. Half of them were like ‘Thank you for telling us even though it came late. It is better than meeting this girl and that girl’. While another half were like ‘I’m disappointed in you. This is similar to Kwon SangWoo when he revealed on this show previously when he was here. He said his fanbase count dropped in just one morning. For me, my fan count dropped from 260K to 160K.”
Guess even someone as popular as Se7en has his days where he’s not so cool anymore but clearly with the return of his album and its popularity on the charts and the fact they he won a bunch of the music show awards he’s clearly back to his former glory now.
Rain must really wanna hit bank before going away on his army enlistment cause rumors have been floating about Rain’s involvement in a new war movie, Red Scarf.
Currently, Rain is busy shooting for the upcoming KBS 2TV drama Fugitive which will be aired in September. After finishing the shooting, he is planning to enter military service on September 28th.
With the movie offer, Rain is having second thoughts about enlisting into army this September. Since he is in 1982, a delay for enlistment is possible. He can still postpone the enlistment date to early next . According to the plan, Red Scarf was to start filming early next year but it has been pushed back to this November. Therefore, if his enlistment issue is settled, there is a high possibility for Rain to the movie.
Rain’s management stated, “There have been discussions on this film. We will be able to give them a definite answer near October.” A member of the film’s stated, “Nothing has been decided, so there are many things we cannot comment on. We are currently working on a synopsis to fit the film’s composition.”
Hm sounds tough i mean it is enlistment but this could be a good farewell present to fans, should he do it?
After much debate over Rain’s height after fans came to believe he lied about being 6 feet tall a photo released today with Rain next to actor Lee Jung Jin proves everyone wrong once and for all as he wrote “See! I’m taller than Lee Jung Jin!” this comes weeks after a photo was taken of them that led fans to believe Lee Jung Jin who is 6 feet tall was much taller than Rain.
UPDATE: Seems netizens are still not convinced as some have commented
“But still, Lee JungJin is taller”, “I don’t care who is taller. Rain is not short anyway”, “Rain is standing upright and at a higher place”, “Please take a photo where you guys are standing without the shoes on” etc.
I doubt Rain will try to pull another stunt to show off his height but if he appears in a variety show they might just make him talk about it again

Fugitive shooting next to Japan and China , including Thailand, Hong Kong, the Philippines and throughout Asia are being held at the International Shooting.
The drama set will also travel to mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Thailand, the Philippines and other places to shoot.
Fugitive is without doubt late 2010′s most anticipated drama which has an all-star cast both at home and abroad, will be aired at the end of September through KBS 2TV.
These stills taken during break time of top star Rain, actor Lee Jung-Jin and actress Lee Na-Young currently shooting drama ‘Fujitive’ in Osaka,Japan have been released. In the stills, Rain and Lee Jung-Jin set ice packs on their hairs to cooled off, and tried to screen from the sun using a parasol after a chase action scene in summer hot, which can soar above 30 degrees centigrade.
The atmosphere of the set is very friendly , Rain and Lee Jung-Jin never lost their stylish figures even though the heat finished them off. As Rain in all black clothing with dandy purely had a charming look in his eyes, while Lee Jung-Jin showed an unpolished beauty, an exciting battle between the two main characters provides a tantalizing glimpse of what’s coming in the drama.
Lee Na-Young also never lost her smile to brave the hot weather, which cured all the staffs and casting members of their tiredness.
Fugitive starring Rain is a tale that takes place, while a large sum of money which disappeared in 1950 on the Korean War reappears in 2010, 60 years have passed since then.
Rain and Lee Na-Young will respectively act as Ji Woo and Jiny who are dragged into a mystery murder case regardless of their wills and Lee Jung-Jin has been cast as a detective who violently chases after the two.
