It seems SS501 can count their lucky stars thanks to the J-pop group The Possible for finally making the impossible possible and removing them as no.1 “Worst Drop In Oricon Weekly History”
See when SS501 released their J-pop single ”lucky days” the boys were indeed LUCKY and made it to no.4 on Oricon Weekly Charts the thing is though things got horribly bad for them the following week as they dropped down to 151!!! (burn)
Now even though you would think that’s bad The Possible’s last single Watashi no Miryoku / LOVE LOVE made it to no.9 and shot down all the way to no. 197 officially making them no.1 on the list XD

Kim Hyung Joon Wants You To Know SS501 Will Be Returning Next Year
Despite a tough year of a bad breakup from their company and going their own separate ways, SS501′s Kim Hyung Joon in an interview with Sports World has confirmed that group will indeed be returning next year
The boys have all been doing their own thing from, acting to solo work but Kim Hyung Joon clarified “When our individual activities and promotions end, the members of SS501 will reunite in the first half of 2011 with a new album. We will also hold concerts with the album promotions.”
Then adding, “Although negative opinions rose as we joined different agencies, our unity is absolute. Like Shinhwa, we will pursue our personal dreams but always be part of SS501.”
In describing their strong bond despite all going their separate ways, Hyung Joon stated, “When we decided to go our separate ways, we promised to keep our group intact. It was the foremost prerequisite for our new contracts. We only need to decide the release date for the album.”
And there you have it now fangirls around the world can stop fasting for the group!

SS501 member Park Jung-min was belatedly found to have been rushed to an emergency room two days ago from high fever and exhaustion.
An official from his agency CNR Media quoted the hospital as saying Park momentarily had a high fever which came from fatigue but would recover soon with enough rest.

Park Jung Min Gets An Interview For Josei Jishin Magazine
On 17th September, SS501 Park Jung Min announced in Japan that 絆ー少年よ大紙を抱け will be the starting point for his solo activities.
To fight into the Chinese market, he declared the start of his activities by going to Taiwan for an interview at the end of September, releasing a solo singles in November and will also hold a solo fan-meeting in Japan in December on the 22nd-23rd.
In Josei Jishin Magazine which goes on sales in 5th October, there are photos and interview taken one month before the magazine was being released.
Jung Min’s dazzling smile and supreme reaction makes the entire interview process enjoyable. Apart from his fluent Japanese, he is going into the Chinese market and is working hard to learn Chinese now!

Park Jung Min Needs Attention Too, Plans On Also Releasing A Solo Album
It was revealed today that Park Jung Min will start his solo activities with a solo album this coming right after Kim Hyun-joong similar announcement.
Park JungMin’s agency representative said “We thought a lot on how to go forward making our first step. With the intention of repaying the fans who have waited, we chose music. We are in the midst of collecting songs. We are recording some of it and we are aiming to release it by end of autumn.”
From the initial planning stage, this album was meant to be a fan-service. It is going to be filled with his thankfulness to the love which he received as a member of SS501 throughout these years. During this week Kim Hyung Jun came to Singapore to hold a showcase and “Meet-and-Greet” session with his fans. During the interview he was asked if it is true that he will search for his related news online as per mentioned in some reports previously.
Hyper Hyung Jun smiled and spoke in English:”Yes that’s true. Search me please!”, after he heard the translated questions from his translator.

Kim Hyung Joon Leaves DSP Media For New Company

SS501 member Kim Hyung-joon is the latest to leave SS501′s company DSP MEDIA and has signed with actor Kang Ji-hwan’s agency S-Plus Entertainment, making him the third member of the five-man band to join a new talenthouse.
S-Plus made the announcement through a press release on Friday, saying the firm “will provide its unstinting support to Kim Hyung-joon so he may pursue his activities in all fields of entertainment including singing and acting beyond Asia.”
Also, addressing constant rumor and speculation that his group will disband after each member goes their own ways, S-Plus stated that “one thing to make most clear is that Kim’s signing with the company does not at all mean a breakup of SS501.”
S-Plus explained that being able to sustain his activities as a member of the band was one of the first issues Kim raised while negotiating on the contract. “The company respects Kim’s opinion 100 percent…… We will emphasize once again that Kim will first and foremost actively take part in his activities as a member of SS501.”
The other members who have signed with new agencies — Kim Hyun-joong with KEYEAST and Park Jung-min with CNR Media — as well as their new reps, have all stated SS501 will not disband.
Top Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon is a major shareholder of KEYEAST and CNR Media is a firm set up jointly by major Taiwanese drama producer Comic-Ritz and Korea’s ROY MEDIA.
Other members Heo Young-saeng and Kim Kyu-jong too have yet to make a decision but lets face its only a matter of time until there none left!

Kim Hyun-Joong Wants To Remind Everyone Its Not Over For SS501
Even with all the madness that has been happening to the popular SS501, leader? Kim Hyun stated during the Playful Kiss conference that SS501 has not disbanded (yet), playing down rumor that its five members will go separate ways since their contract with their former agency has ended and some have signed with new management.
Emphasizing that “nothing has been decided” regarding a possible breakup of the band, Kim explained, “People say we have disbanded but none of that talk has come from our mouths. What are you going to do if we then come out with a new album? Please just wait and see.”
Kim is the first member from his group to sign with a new agency after SS501′s contract with DSP Media expired in early June. He joined KEYEAST later that month, one of South Korea’s largest entertainment houses of which top actor Bae Yong-joon is a major shareholder.
And while members Heo Young-saeng and Kim Kyu-jong have yet to join new agencies, Kim Hyung-joon is currently looking into signing with Kang Ji-hwan’s talent firm S Plus Entertainment.
“I moved to KEYEAST because I wanted to gain on my experience as an actor. But I was happy because the agency said it would manage my career not only as an actor but as a singer as well,” Kim Hyun-joong said, commenting on his scandalous move for the first time in public.
He then added, “It has not been set as of yet but it’s true that I’m preparing for my singing career as well. I don’t know if I’ll go solo or be part of a group but as of now, I’m preparing for an album with a solo career in mind.”
Kim also said he had originally planned to take a break after moving to KEYEAST but took on “Playful Kiss” after being offered his role by the show’s director Hwang In
“Itazura na Kiss,” a popular manga by Karou Tada, has sold over 27 million copies in Japan and was turned into an anime series in the country in 2008 by director Osamu Yamazaki.

HyunJoong’s Arrival Crowds Osaka’s Airport
SS501’s leader, Kim HyunJoong, recently traveled to Osaka, Japan for a Boys Over Flowers alumni gathering. His arrival caused an alarming number of fans to gather at the airport!
On August 18th, HyunJoong’s company, KeyEast announced that the singer/actor had arrived in Osaka at about 7PM that day. His arrival time, however, had not been made known to fans. Despite not knowing, fans had already begun gathering at about noon in hopes of catching a glimpse of the star. By the time of HyunJoong’s arrival, about 200 fans had already gathered, and the number was steadily rising! The increasing number of fans alarmed airport security enough that they mobilized private security and the police force as well.
When HyunJoong finally stepped out of the arrival gate, he was greeted by hundreds of waving hands and smiling faces.
Fans, however, need not worry about seeing too little of the idol! HyunJoong, along with the rest of the Boys Over Flowers main cast, will be spending as much time as possible with their fans. The cast plans on looking back at the memories created during Boys Over Flowers, which include memorable scenes from the drama, as well as videos from last years alumni meeting, with their fans.
Fans also have a surprise from HyunJoong waiting for them! KeyEast revealed that although HyunJoong had a continuous overnight filming schedule for his new drama, he used his spare time to prepare a performance! His hope is that he can create lasting memories with fans this year as well.
The alumni event will be attended by HyunJoong, Goo HyeSun, Kim Bum, and Kim Joon. There will be two fanmeetings, the first one is to be held on August 18th in Osaka. The second one is on August 21st in Tokyo. There will be two sessions per meeting.

SS501 to Come Out with a 3D Music Video for ‘Love Ya’
Despite their current issues over future activities and entertainment agencies, SS501 is still planning on returning with an updated version of their music video to ‘Love Ya!’ The new MV will feature 3D graphics as a sort of consolation to fans who were disappointed with how little time the boys spent on promotions for ‘Destination.’
JOY3D, who will be producing this music video, stated, “3D format [which was] previously limited to movies and commercial films [will now] influence [the] music industry […] We [will] recreate [the music video] to 3D […]; it will have a huge influence in the future trend.”
Fans will be able to look at the boys as if they are standing right in front of one’s eyes. No official date has been set yet for the release of this music video, but make sure to count on KPOPLIVE to let you know as soon as such information is released!

Seems like everyone is going on happy train ride that is called the J-pop experience these days from Kara To SNSD to even Shinee and now it seems soon to be ex SS501member Park Jung Min has hoped on that train too!
Park JungMin who has moved over to CNR Media, will be invading Japan.
Park JungMin will depart to Japan on Friday The 13th for a Japan promotional activity. After this promotional activity, he will get into full-scale activities in Japan.
Management company told OSEN on 11-Aug through a telephone conversation, “He will depart to Japan on Friday The 13th and will be meeting people from broadcasting stations such as Fuji TV, TBS, etc. In the 4 days 3 nights visit to Japan, he will be meeting a lot of people in the Japan music and broadcasting industry in order to have an outline on his promotional activities in Japan.”
They also told us that Park JungMin has a good commend of Japanese and is proficient in it.

SS501 Officially Screwed, Last 3 Lost Kittens Go Look For A New Home
Although this may not be officially true word on the streets is, following recent news stating that SS501’s Jungmin would be signing with CNR Media instead of his contract with DSP Entertainment, curiosity has arisen regarding the whereabouts and plans of the remaining three members.
A close friend of members Kyujong, Hyungjoon, and Youngsaeng recently revealed that the trio is searching for a new entertainment company. While rumors have been circulating stating that Youngsaeng and Kyujong may be discussing contract with the same company that female singer L is under, nothing has been said thus far about Hyungjoon. He to be searching for a different company instead.
However, although the members will be separated, the saying still goes that the group will be likeShinhwa in that they will be “separate but together.” Unfortunately, since they are all signing under entertainment companies, matters will be a bit complicated, thus prolonging their absence from the music scene, which is disheartening many fans.
A bit of information was also shared regarding the plans for Hyunjoong and Jungmin. CNR Media, Jungmin’s current entertainment agency, stated through a press release on the 10th: “Park Jungmin signed on to us because he wants to broaden his activities to all of Asia. In future, he will be to attain a firm position in Asia as a multi-entertainer. Also, Jungmin will be positively and eagerly participating in any related to SS501 as SS501’s Jungmin, and so with that, SS501 activities will be his first and foremost priority in anything.” Hyunjoong, on the other hand, recently moved toKEYEAST agency, who reassured fans that the boys are all on good relations. They too have claimed that Hyunjoong has not left SS501, and plans on carrying on future activities with the group as well.
Unfortunately, the same problems are still prevalent in this scenario. Jungmin’s new situation will only prove to complicate things, say a few music industry experts, and since the name “SS501” is legally the property of DSP Media, it seems that the boys will be forced to undergo a name change if they wish to as a group. The boys may have no wishes of leaving each other, but that they will be able to continue as one band will be nothing of difficult.”
SS501 is not planning on participating in any activities for the time being.

Oh Sejung Returns SS501’s Kyujong’s Feelings?
Actress Oh Sejung appeared on the latest episode of SBS ‘Strong Heart’ and confessed to a fatal attraction for one idol in particular in boy band SS501.
I must warn Triple S’s out there that it gets more jealousy-invoking from here, so cover your eyes if you don’t want ladies touching your boys (just don’t grab a pitchfork just yet, please.) Anyways, what Oh Sejung revealed on this show was that after discovering that Kyujong nominated her as his ideal type in a few television shows, the topic became one of the most widely searched subjects on many Korean portal sites. This attracted attention from Oh Sejung herself, and so she started paying even more attention to him than she had been before.
“I found out that he thinks of me as his ideal type,” said Oh Sejung excitedly. She added on to her statement, saying, “I am also always watching Kim Kyujong!” Curious, the show’s MCs asked her if she had ever met Kyujong in private before. Oh Sejung could not bear to deny it, and so she confessed, “We coincidentally met before,” which attracted even more attention than the topic already had been gathering.
More details on the Kyujong and Oh Sejung’s first meeting will be revealed when this episode of ‘Strong Heart’ airs on August 3rd. Grab a seat, and maybe some comfort food, too, if you’re into Kyujong – this episode could turn out to be a real tearjerker!

Being A Triple S Has No Age Limits
Awwww… this is so touching. Two grandpa’s are seated together watching our boys SS501 in their tvN fan meeting. One of them is holding a placard that says “SS501 Happy 5th Anniversary”. I don’t think our boys are related to these 2 gentlemen, do you? I think they’re really fans. This brings a smile to my face. Maybe our 5 wonderful boys have touched them too. Just like they did to all Triple S around the world, from cute little kids, to teens, to young adults, and middle aged moms. Our boys are able to touch the hearts of people, regardless of age. But two grandpa Triple S… now, that’s something you don’t get to see everyday. Warms my heart.

SS501 To Go Solo But Remain Together – SS301
With the recent news of SS501’s leader Kim HyunJoong recently leaving DSP but wanting to continue working as SS501, many people have been wondering about what will happen to the rest of the group!
In early June Kim HyunJoong signed up with Key East entertainment and it was also rumored that Park Jungmin had signed a contract on his own. According to associates of SS501, Park Jungmin is highly interested in working in the acting field and is looking for a new company to manage over him well. In addition to this as an attempt to keep group activities, instead of going solo, members Kim KyuJong, Heo Youngsaeng and Kim HyungJoon have decided to stay together and look for a new company.
The 3 members have been nicknamed SS301 and are currently a high target for most companies. Even though they have received many offers worth large amounts of money, they are more interested in finding a reliable management company who they feel they can trust.
A close friend of one of the members said “Even though money (for contract) is no doubt an important factor, the members are trying to select one with a high capacity and whom they are able to trust completely.”
If the members had signed with different management companies on their own it would be harder for them to continue activities as 5. However due to the members strong loyalties and as there are no arguments between them it seems as it the group will not disband after all. Especially due to their growing popularity overseas.
The group seem to be following a similar path to the idol group H.O.T who disbanded in 2001. Two of the members went solo and the other 3 formed a sub group called JTL.

A few days ago, the cast and crew of the anticipated drama ‘Playful Kiss’ has started filming and Jung Hyeyoung and Jung Somin has been spotted busy with their own roles. On the 24th of July, its male lead Kim Hyunjoong has been spotted in a highschool uniform causing comments from fans.
